IN THE STABLES
One of a kind originals, yours to treasure
The painter. The process
I never studied art in school, I didn’t appreciate it enough back then to understand the impact it would have on my life. But, I always loved to create, and through my early 20s I began to exercise that interest.
I’ve been lucky enough to travel the world and fall in love with beautiful places that continue to inspire my work today. I have always been drawn to portraits- something about the way a face can change the mood of a room has always intrigued me. I create artwork that reflects my love of sophisticated interior design infused with the ruggedness of the untamed outback spirit.
My painting style is messy, and unrefined; very rarely does an idea actually go to plan. Finished results are usually a bizarre detour from the original path.
I always like to describe my personal style as wabi sabi, but lately I’ve taken to describing my art as ‘quiet luxury’. I think every home deserves a bit of that.
